About my writing style

I use a technique where I change perspectives during a story.  Some call it head hopping, others POV shifts.  I always have one main character whose perspective leads the story, but I enjoy showing the thoughts, emotions, and perspectives of the character's partner.  I do this because I feel the main character's partner is just as valuable to the story and deserves a little of that spotlight time.  I don't use it in all my stories, but it stems from my desire to learn more about non-main characters when I read.  I'm always wondering, "What are his thoughts?  What does he really feel for the main character?"  I want my main character's partner to be a wholly developed individual on his own, which is why I'll hop over to his head every now and again.  I love exploring my characters and learning more about them in this way, and I hope you will as well.
