About Me

Me and Chick

I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and even though in the 4th Grade I thought my best work would always be "Forest Fire, the Littlest Racehorse," I have hopes that I've surpassed it.  Though, maybe not.  It was a pretty high action little tale.  It wasn't until college that I became truly serious about writing, so much so I changed my major to English/Creative Writing from Legal Assisting, and while it took me seven years to complete a Bachelor's Degree (I did take time off to work, in my defense), it was only in my final year that I started to uncover my author's voice and what I actually wanted to write about, which turned out to be mostly erotic romance, and namely gay erotic romance, though fantasy is a genre that I also have a love for.

Though I love writing, first and foremost before anything else, I'm a mother, and I'm a mother to a child with with Special Needs.  My beautiful son, Alexander, has Down Syndrome, and while it does bring some challenges, the happiness he brings overrides those.  His smiles, his laughter, hold more value to me than being handed the world, because he is my world.  I never used to talk much about Alex's Down Syndrome.  He's my son, nothing else matters.  Then in the time since Alex has been born, I realized there are many misconceptions about individuals with Special Needs, whether Down Syndrome, Autisim, or so many others.  I hope by being open about his condition, it'll help raise awareness at what valuable and important members of society people with Special Needs are.

I'm a huge animal lover all around.  I'll rescue anything that's furred, feathered, or scaly, so our family includes a kind-hearted German Shepherd, a Collie who is the anti-Lassie, a handful of mental cats, and some very special horses.

I'll admit, my characters' stories are much more interesting than mine, so I'll bring this to a close now.  I thank you for taking an interest in me and my work.
